About this tour

Explore forests, Rhine viewpoints, legends and a fairytale castle on a spectacular summer hike to Schloss Drachenburg.

🌟Why Go?

Few places in Germany combine history, legends, castles, forests and panoramic river views as beautifully as the Siebengebirge.

This unforgettable summer adventure takes you through one of Germany’s oldest nature reserves, following scenic forest trails, hidden viewpoints and legendary landscapes overlooking the Rhine Valley.

Our destination is the spectacular Schloss Drachenburg, one of Germany’s most beautiful castle-palaces. Perched high above the Rhine, this fairy-tale masterpiece looks like something straight out of a storybook.

Along the way, we’ll discover the legendary Drachenfels (Dragon’s Rock), connected to the famous Nibelungen saga, where the legendary hero Siegfried is said to have slain a dragon.
