Cusco and the surrounding Andes are located at high altitude.
Participants should take the first day in Cusco slowly and allow their bodies time to acclimatise.
The itinerary intentionally includes a relaxed arrival day after the flight from Lima.

The supplied itinerary states that the maximum luggage allowance on the train is an 8 kg backpack.

Afterwards, return downriver to the lodge.
