Meeting Point: Berlin Central Station (Berlin Hauptbahnhof)

Destination: Bad Harzburg & the Harz Mountains

Difficulty: Winter conditions — suitable for participants with basic hiking fitness

Please note: “Cold” describes the expected winter conditions rather than the physical difficulty. Snow, ice, wind, and trail conditions may affect the route.

🎒What Should I Bring?

Winter conditions in the Harz can be cold, windy, and potentially icy. Please come prepared.

• Warm, layered clothing
• Waterproof winter jacket
• Sturdy hiking boots with good grip
• Warm gloves, hat, and scarf
• Water bottle or thermos with a hot drink
• Snacks and packed lunch

🚆How to get there?

We’ll travel together from Berlin to the Harz region by train.

Our destination is Bad Harzburg, where we’ll begin our winter adventure. The trip includes a cable car journey to the forested area above the town, followed by a scenic hike.

Exact train connections, meeting instructions, and the final route will be shared with registered participants before departure.
